Tristan's London Landmark Half Marathon 2026 in memory of Alison Rogers for Cherry Lodge Cancer Care
Tristan Rogers
Fundraising in memory of Alison Rogers
My Story
Last year my mum, Alison Rogers, was diagnosed with suspected kidney cancer, which later turned out to be urothelial - a rare, high-grade type that grows exceptionally quickly. She tried every treatment possible, but ultimately none of them could keep up with the cancer. Sadly, just under one year from her initial diagnosis, she died.
In those last few months of her life, Cherry Lodge provided much-needed support: counselling and pain management when no other treatments were working, wheelchairs and other mobility aids and even support for my dad, who was by her side throughout the entire ordeal. By contributing to this sponsored half-marathon, they can continue to provide this vital support to other patients and their carers, just like they did for Mum.
